Service Description
Age 4 DOB: September 2, 2020 – September 1, 2021 **no class February 16 or April 6** Children are introduced to a variety of instruments while developing their musical skills using proven Smart Start™ activities. Instruments are provided for use in class. Children strengthen their ability to replicate rhythms, sing melodies, and begin to read music. Smart Start ™ activities have also been shown to strengthen development of key cognitive skills in attention, memory, perception, and cognitive flexibility. By age 4, children start organizing and better understanding their world. These classes are designed to use their increased attention, organization, and planning to aid their musical creations. Children begin to learn the basics of music theory and are encouraged to apply their creativity to musical and artistic activities. These classes provide the framework for learning a musical instrument, singing, or any other type of musical activity.
